Every Wednesday at 3.30pm the Islington Centre for English runs a free class for all current students. It's our Speaking Club and is a really fun way to practise your English speaking and listening with other students. The atmosphere is really fun and relaxed as students discuss various topics to build their fluency and confidence in English. This class is not about grammar!
This English course is suitable for students of all levels from Pre-intermediate to Upper Intermediate and even Advanced levels.
Subjects could cover the following areas:
Hobbies and interests
Travel and tourism
Food and cooking
Technology and social media
Culture and customs
Education and learning
Health and wellness
Environment and sustainability
Fashion and style
Relationships and family
Entertainment and media
Work and careers

These topics are broad enough to allow for a range of discussion points, but specific enough to keep the conversation focused and engaging. Additionally, they are relevant to many people's lives and interests, making them ideal for stimulating conversation.
