Practising your listening

Nov 18, 2014

I think I said in an earlier blog post that listening is the skill that you use the most, how often do you practice it at home? Here’s an exercise that you could do at home – have you ever looked on the website TED talks? There’s presentations from all kinds of experts on various interesting topics, everyone can find something to interest them on there! Listen to the talk and write down as many words as you can while you’re listening, then try to write down and recreate what you heard. Afterwards you can access the tape script online and check how similar yours is to the original!
