Lots of people miss the food from their country when they come to London and they don't like what we eat here. If you feel a bit like this please go down to Borough Market near London Bridge and change your mind! Borough Market was originally a big fruit and vegetable market where all the food from the countryside was brought into the city to be sold in the shops and restaurants. Now it has changed a bit and is the best place in the city to go if you’re hungry! There’s all kinds of stalls selling food from all around the country, with occasional European specialities. You can buy produce, snacks, or even whole meals. Don’t forget to visit Neal’s Yard Dairy to see a traditional cheese shop! When you’re full enough you can take a walk down the South Bank to a museum or just soak up the atmosphere by the river.
