This year, ICE welcomed University lecturers from Annaba and Khenchela in Algeria to improve their English language proficiency. Their timetable included morning General English lessons at their specific CEFR level followed by 4 afternoons per week of 'English for University'. This equipped them with the linguistic tools to deliver their lecturers in English.

However, at the Islington Centre for English, we provide specific English lessons on: Introducing a topic, describing trends on a graph, statistical analysis, the language of disagreement, essential University terminology and much more. Students learn new vocabulary and present their lecturers with their new language to colleagues and the tutor.
