Hi guys! Today you can try this quiz. Learning a language isn't just about learning vocabulary and doing grammar. It's also about learning about the culture. Here's the first part of an English culture quiz and the answers.

Questions.

Round 1 - History

1. Name 2 of Henry VIII’s wives
2. Who was Britain’s longest-serving monarch?
3. In which year did the first world war begin?
4. What was the year of the American Revolution?
5. Which American President was shot in a theatre?
6. Which king was called ‘The Hammer of the Scots’? (He was in Braveheart)

Round 2 – Literature

1. Who wrote ‘The Waste Land’?
2. Name one book that Jane Austen wrote?
3. Who were the Capulets and the Montagues?
4. Name one of Shakespeare’s historical plays.
5. Who was Arthur Miller?
6. What was the title of Charles’ Dickens novel in which the main character says ‘More please.’

Round 3 – Science
1. What is the main artery of the heart?
2. In which part of the body would you find Pepsin?
3. In Einstein’s theory of relativity what does what does e stand for?
4. Name the only organ that can get better after damage?
5. What is the atomic number of Oxygen?
6. Which is the lightest gas?
