John Bolt's London

Jan 17, 2017

ICE English students!  Welcome to my new weekly, London blog.  Join me as I learn a little more about this fascinating, ancient metropolis every day.

One of the  world’s most famous clock towers is in Central London and known  by tourists including the English as “Big Ben”. However, its correct name is Elizabeth Tower renamed in 2012 to mark Queen Elizabeth's 60th year on the throne.
Before that is was known as St Stephen’s Tower . Big Ben is the 13-tonne bell behind the clock.
